The
Home Page
- here you will find "news" (usually
recent noteworthy research articles) of interest to those in the
field of cellulose research
- at the center top of the home page there will
be a link to highlight either a new feature of the web site or an
original contributed article. We invite you to consider being
a contributor!
Discussion
forums
- All forums are publicly viewable without

- Forum topics include cellulose biosynthesis,
cellulose degradation, cellulose structure, cellulose chemistry as well as forums
dedicated to the Cotton and Forest Products industries.
- An additional forum is provided for your
suggestions for the improvement of the site.
The CEN Library
currently contains
- a list of journals (with web links to journal home pages) that may be of particular interest to CEN visitors
- The Table of Contents for most issues of
"Cellulose Communications" is available (click on the
Cellulose Communications link).
- a list of recently published books in relevant areas, e.g. cellulose, textiles, cotton, paper and wood science, polymer science
- searchable Endnote bibliographic reference libraries
- a family tree for processive ß-glycosyltransferases
- a Cellulose FAQ
(currently under development)
The Conferences page
- contains a table of conferences that may be of
interest with links to the conference home pages for additional
information.
- a form is provided so that you may notify us of
any meeting that we may have overlooked.
The Career Information
page
- contains notices of faculty, technical, or
post-doctoral positions that are available.
- a form is provided so that you may notify us of
a position that you wish to advertise.
Directory of Organizations
page
- this is a selected list of organizations in
cellulose-related fields. It may serve as a starting point if
you are interested in a particular area (e.g. textiles or paper
manufacture).
- a form is provided so that you may suggest
organizations to be added to the list
Directory of Researchers
page
- the old CEN site had a database of researchers
in fields relating to cellulose and a list-server that allowed
researchers to post questions to other members of the list.
The discussion forum on this new site replaces the
list-server. The data in the old database has been preserved,
although by now much of it is surely out of date. As soon as
technically feasible we will implement a new process to allow people
to list themselves in the directory or to update their
listing.
- the names in the database can be sorted
by last name or by country.
The Server Welcome
page
- the server that hosts CEN also hosts several
other web sites that you may wish to explore. This link takes you to
the topmost level of the server.
