29. Brown, Jr. R. M. and H. J. Arnott. 1971. A photographic method for producing true three-dimensional electron micrographs. Protoplasma 72:105-108.

29. Summary

This work shows who to use Dupont Ortho Cronar film as a positive and stack these between glass to produce a true three-dimensional electron micrograph. Although quite heavy, the glass photos are very instructive as the glass can be tilted and various aspects of the organelles examined. Two images were used: (a) a complex Golgi/nuclear view with surrounding chloroplasts from the alga, Tetracystis, and (b) a complex mitochondrion.
